About the Project
Speech Prosody is a conference held for researchers in linguistics focused on intonation patterns in speech across many languages and cultures.
The conference coordinators asked me to design a user-friendly linked webpage for their detailed schedule that will allow site visitors to access the abstracts and files for each talk and poster. There were about 200 elements so I formatted the proceedings in a tabular format with the abstract and paper filenames and wrote a Perl script to write to HTML for their website. The elements link to a Google site I set up with a Google Apps Script to automatically create all the pages for each talk and poster. The script also grabbed the Google file links inside Google Drive to anchor on the pages.
There were also many latin characters like é and ô for this conference so I converted them to html encodings to display correctly on the different sites.
